Sales of 2019-S Proof Silver Eagles hurdled the 100,000 level, the latest figures from the United States Mint show.
Released earlier this month, the 1-ounce .999 fine silver coin from the San Francisco Mint advanced 25,186 in a week for a 20-day total of 112,612. It was the U.S. Mint’s top weekly seller.
As a comparison, last year’s edition logged sales of 114,119 during its first 20 days. Its sales eventually ended at 158,785.
The Mint’s data also offers the first published results for the pair of Apollo 11 Coins and Kennedy-Apollo 11 Prints. The print with companion gold coin registered 19-day sales of 681 while the print with the silver dollar posted 19-day sales of 2,570.
In summarizing some other recent Mint releases:

The high relief American Liberty 2.5-ounce silver medal climbed 3,076 to 18,958, making it the third strongest seller.

The no longer available 2018-S Reverse Proof American Innovation dollar rose 1,527 to 72,711, making it the seventh best seller.

The premium high relief 2019-W $100 American Liberty gold coin moved up by 493 pieces to 5,441. It ranked twelfth in popularity.

In its latest report, the U.S. Mint published sales data for 167 numismatic products. Not counting the first showings of the Apollo 11 Coins and Intaglio Prints so as to compare apples to apples, 47 products outperformed their prior weekly gains compared to 35 previously. And using the same criteria, 9 products increased by more than 1,000 against 10 previously. No product saw a sales reduction as compared to 1 product in the prior report.

So interesting regarding the 2019 American liberty sales. Not really doing well. The silver yes but not sure why since most of the coins quality is poor. Also why did they not make these medals a enhanced reverse proof like the ASE then they probably would have sold out. The gold as well. I think the gold isn’t selling either the price is so high or not just happy with the design overall.
2019-S Proof Silver Eagles now sold out!!! Mike Mezack bought a big chunk of them to make the big bucks!! The “KING” has done it again. Repeat Repeat Repeat Understand!!! Mr. Ripoff!!!

He was hawking these for $199 plus s&h the other night claiming they will be the rarest regular issue ASE. Cracked me up when he said that his advice to buy this coin, based on his vast experience and analytics, was ABSOLUTELY FREE!!! No extra charge for this advice – lol. Such a charlatan….

Can’t imagine the 2019 S ASE’s are sold out at a little over 112,000…I think collectors anticipated a sellout last week when they bought so many it strained the Mint’s inventories…likely will return, if only briefly…you figured the Pride of Two Nations sets had sold out weeks ago but still available…happens frequently with us mint products…secondary sales with nice markups…collectors fearing a sellout…I am awaiting a Mint email reminder and with all signs pointing to an approaching sellout, will likely order a few myself…
By the way, The US Mint has changed the release date of the Palladium Reverse Proof to Sept, 12th.
Yeah the mint wants to wait to see palladium skyrocket after the holiday weekend. Always a conspiracy.
Squeeze out another $50 profit per coin sale, on what may likely be a $1,987.50 offering.., not a bad play if you’re the USM.
I’d be surprised to see 9,000 in sales on the opener.., though who knows how the collector base will respond this time around. Risky purchase given the volitlity of Palladium.
$50 increase on 9,000 sold though is an additional $450,000.., & to Chris’ point above, it is a short week ahead lending itself to perhaps a PD pop and increase in the weekly average fix for the Wednesday price reset. Gonna get interesting…,
I really wish the USM had just done for 2019:
– 10,000 BU PD’s @ $1,550’ish &
– 10,000 RP PD’s @ $1,937 – $1,987
And called it a day…
I guess next year we get 30,000 Enhanced Uncirculated PD’s @ $2,137.., oh the horror!
I watched the latest HSN Coin Collector show and Mike “Sold Out, Limited Edition” Mezack is already selling the “2019 Palladium Coin” in RP70 for $3999.99.
I just observed that on last night’s HSN Coin Collector that Mike “Sold Out, Limited Edition” Mezack had a “2018 Palladium” coin in a “2019” slab!!!

I’ve read about that being the case for other HSN coin releases before. It would seem that he either makes use of a counterfeit case, or the grading service provides one for him to promote the sale of to be graded future release coins. The camera man tries not to show the date on the previous year coin, only on the slab…or whatever is being used to represent the coin that will be available.
….Total theatrics. I would never consider purchasing anything numismatic from a home shopping network.

Is the USM planning to release 2019 American Eagle One Ounce Silver Enhanced Reverse Proof coins later this year? This is a duplicate from the Pride of Nations set. Will definitely drop the value of that set with an increase in supply. Screw the collectors
Did anyone else catch Rick Harrison from “PAWN STARS” on with Mike Mezack? I couldn’t believe it. Rick talked about Mike Mezack as “honest” and about how important “reputation” was in his line of work. I’ve seen Rick as an honest business man just because he won’t take advantage of people trying to sell something to him when they ask for way less than what an item is worth.
