Don’t worry, the Bots are constantly hitting the site for any change in availability and are programmed to buy whenever the button changes to “Add to Cart”.

I’m assuming the proofs are off with today’s announcement. Yet, they are still listed for the fall on the 2022 product schedule. ?????

I think they stop sending text or email notices once the resupply is sold out. In a few instances, I have received a text for a resupply being available, but I have not received an email. Even though I signed up to receive both type of “Remind me” notices. I assumed they sold out of the resupply before they got to the email.

But mostly, I sign up for “remind me” for both text and email, and I get sent neither. I assumed someone else got the notice and snagged the inventory before they got to my position on the “notify list”.

But it could also be their notify function is not working properly.
I don’t know. No-one is talking.

Good Sir Rich,

I have no verifiable way of differentiating regarding actual intent when it comes to the always mysterious and all too often objectionable operations of the Mint. The best I can come up with is that I can’t make up my mind as to whether the Mint has intentionally just worked its way further down its familiar path of practiced chicanery or it has indeed gotten just plain sloppier and more lackadaisical under its new possibly too long term veteran bureaucratic administration. There is after all a reason for the existence of that tried and true(?) old expression “Good enough for government work”.

Domenic,

Yours is of course a very relevant, justified and likely unanswerable question. Occasions like this are definitely a part of the all too usual and typically verging on sketchy behind the scenes operations of a not always collector friendly Mint.

Chris Terp,

If it’s any consolation, my friend, which I rather doubt it will be but I’m nevertheless willing to give it a try anyway, by the time you catch sight of one of the “Order Now” notices having come your way it is all too often too late to do anything about it anyway. By this I mean that by the time you get to the applicable webpage for the item either some ever-vigilant and hyper-speed-ordering Bots have already been there or a fellow human with extremely quick reflexes and a rather powerful sense of determination has managed the same. In the final analysis it doesn’t matter which as “the deed has been done” which is to say the product is gone again and the red purchasing button has since reverted back to a nice blue and understandably frustrating “Remind Me” sign.

Domenic, I never thought I’d be saying this, but I’m beginning to think the new Mint Administration is even shadier than the last one under Ryder. I was hoping Ms Ventris, with her vast experience in Human Resources and Diversity, would be running a tighter ship. Lets see what happens when the ASE W proof and uncirculated, ASE S proof, and Morgan & Peace proofs are released later this year.

Good Sir Rich,

Considering no warning of any kind was given in regard to the Morgan and Peace Dollars making a return appearance, unless one is in the habit of being a constant Mint website status checker there’s no way one could ever have known this surprise event was going to take place.

If it makes you feel any better, which realistically speaking I’m admittedly assuming it probably won’t, Good Sir Rich, I myself have not once yet had the good fortune of “catching up” with one of those spontaneous re-releases of a very desirable Mint item myself, so there’s that.
