Has anyone received a date that their order will be shipped?
An article in the 2/18/2019 Coin World cites: “United States Mint officials would not disclose how many of the 5-ounce silver coins were produced before sales were opened.” The article also stated: “The Proof 2019-P Apollo 11 50th Anniversary 5- ounce silver dollars the Philadelphia Mint struck before the U.S. Mint put the coin on sale Jan. 24 will be shipped to customers in the progression in which orders were placed.”
How many was it that were on sale at “HSN”? (2900?) Wonder what % of those struck that was.
There are now many dealers showing these available or will be by 3/1. Does this mean that those struck after 1/24 will not be shipped in the progression in which orders were placed?
Sad that some U.S. officials apparently, in my opinion, can not be forthright in their dealings.
