The Mint’s universally infamous and ubiquitously aggravating “right out of the cart at the very last second grab”, experienced by all too many and not that long ago.

Sir Kaiser, Bravo! What an outstanding, long sentence!

As near as I have been able to ascertain with regard to the Mint’s annual Limited Edition Silver Proof Set, Domenic Vaiasicca, the one and only thing that is in any way “limited” about this particular product is the number that are produced every year, which is capped at 50,000. This year, ironically enough, it seems to be the case that due to lack of customer interest it might be somewhat difficult for the Mint to even sell all of those.

I’m talking 2023. I think it goes beyond initial offering. for instance, let’s say the 3 roll women’s quarter set.
12620 are offered. if 12500 are already ‘subscribed’, that continues the whole year for each issue. you don’t resubscribe for every new release. so if someone doesn’t cancel their subscription no one else can’t get one except for the mad scramble the day of issue for the millisecond they are available. then one can gripe he didn’t get a chance, because it is more fun to complain than subscribe. or at least that is how I understand thing operate.

Many a time on this site here when I just happen to have written an exceptionally long comment and suddenly for whatever ridiculous reason perhaps for example by somehow managing to hit the wrong key or some such silly and/or foolish mistake like that all of the words in the entire comment accidentally get highlighted at the same time and rather spontaneously so at that and before I can begin to think even remotely fast enough to definitely make sure my very next keystroke will solve the whole strange problem instead of possibly making it even worse sure enough I touch the wrong key again and there it goes lickety-split before I have any chance of stopping anything from happening every single little thing that I had written in the comment is instantly and absolutely erased.

No. I had my comment complete, tried to add a pic from my phone and when I clicked submit it as was I sure I wanted to leave page. So i cancel and tried to copy all my text but it wouldn’t highlight everything. So since I saw no way to remove the pic I just said ok when it said are you sure you wish to leave page. Had fingers crossed, lo and behold, no micro book of knowledge was posted, nor was pic. First and last time I will do that. But once again my pathetic life was interrupted to insure my silence and blackball my opinion. Is hard to defend yourself when only the prosecution is allowed to speak. Whatever. Guess the same as Jeff waiting for approval for his follow up that probably won’t post. But this is a sausage fest so why expect otherwise.

As i’ve said….there is nothing special about the set other than packaging. The ONLY reason to buy at this point is for the singular ASE which is unavailable on its own. Add to that, the set really is overpriced. Packaging does not make it limited or truly special if the coins are still available elsewhere.
