Vachon, I think that would be a recipe for mischief because the trial strikes would instantly introduce rarities within the collecting community and end up as a windfall for whoever receives it, likely being auctioned off for a big profit.

But also because I’m curious how that “HOPE” design for Reverend Murray is supposed to look as a coin. The drawing looks interesting but how does that translate into a struck design? What would the blackened area be? A smooth field or something rougher in appearance to distinguish it from the design within the letters of HOPE?

I would like them to fit ‘Civil War Surgeon, POW & MOH’ in there if possible.

It’s very generous of you to say that, Antonio, but I think it’s for the best. Truth be told, I have been known to have difficulties functioning well in group settings.

You mean they don’t consult you about the design choice? They’re missing out on a valuable resource.

I would prefer the option where it says civil war surgeon somewhere on the coin. It would be more educational and respectful of what she did.

I’m not sure if these were his top 5 picks, however 3 of the 5 shown in that picture are my favorites for that issue. My 2 changes would be for the Dr Pauli Murray and Patsy Takemoto Mink AWQ’s. The designs I’d vote for are PM-R-01A and PTM-01, with PM-R-01 and PTM-04 as runner ups. Runner up choices on the other designs are CC-R-04, ZS-01 and MEW-03-A.

These are definitely women,of whom my knowledge has increased 100%. I enjoy history, so for me, I really like the series and will have to pick up some different US Mint issues at some point, on the secondary market. I’m just not a US Mint buyer at these prices for what you get these days. I’ll just have to wait for prices to come down on the 2022 issues as well as wait for discretionary income to again become part of my routine.

Hope, those of you collecting any of these are happy so far with the overall quality. Seems like USM quality control has suffered more thanregular(?) since Covid?

Let’s hope for the best.
