The ” PNG ” organization is a great thing, but not all ” png ” dealers are the all the same when it come to buying coins off of you, you got to know what you have & what it’s worth before you sell, don’t be ”fooled” by that sticker on their store window, do your home work first, it’s a pain in the ass but get two or three es*two*mitt’s, if your up to the it, that’s for anyone new to coins. That’s ”BS”” not even a steak & lobster dinner, up yours bank of ”NEW YORK ” , what comes around go*s around, it never ”feels”, good job man* to the PNG dealer, dam feeble – minded people eat coal on *Christmas*+*.

True. Maybe the FBI told him to cash the check so he could legally be involved with the case against the scumbags that stole from a deceased, elderly lady.

Happy Collecting!

Seth,
He contacted the FBI. I believe he did the right thing. He could have opened a MM account and collected the interest, even if only for a short while. (Welcome back Seth).

He had numerous big-time hints that this transaction was fishy, but kept the money himself for awhile till the bank demanded it back. No wonder he will not release his name! Not so smart/ethical!?

These two sound like idiots, but they apparently got away with things for some time. One scam that can affect anyone who sells something is receiving a check for too much and being asked by the buyer to refund the excess. Sure the bank will take and cash the check…and then a few days later will ask for its money back when it bounces. Sadly elderly people are most at risk from all kinds of scams, but anyone can be a victim.

Incidentally when I get a call from “Microsoft” that my computer has been flagged as having problems and they will “fix” it for a fee, I ask the person calling if he or she enjoys being a criminal. Most get angry or confused, though one said, “Yes, the money is easy and good.” Oh well….
