I would love to be able to see that. Which brings to mind the thought that perhaps trying to get into space is in the end more important than conquering it.

You’ve got a lot of good ideas percolating there, Dazed and Coinfused. I recently read that more important than living forever, most especially so since we are not capable of that anyway, is having the interest and inclination to come up with ideas, concepts and suggestions that make sense and appeal to others within the time that we are given on this earth. That notion makes a lot of sense to me, and it appears that you’ve got quite a good handle on it yourself.

It’s so very gratifying, Caliskier, that you managed to elicit from the one and only source some for all practical purposes incontrovertible proof that there are in fact some actual live human beings working at the United States Mint. That is of course discounting the possibility that in the process of perfecting their successful anti-bot software they didn’t as a side-effect happen to also develop some exceedingly intelligent and capable AI.

Postscript: An additional advantage would be US laws wouldn’t apply as to what body parts have to appear front and/or back.

Practically speaking, Dazed and Coinfused, both the Addams Family and The Munsters would be better served having their commemorative coins commissioned by and produced for some tiny Pacific atoll nation like “Nolandia” or such, you get my drift(wood).

Anecdote, Dazed and Coinfused. In eleventh grade I handed my year end report card to my father. He took one look at it, said “Four A’s and a B. Better luck next time”, and tossed it back to me.

A nut is a fruit with a hard outer shell that does not open to release its seed so technically an acorn is both a nut and a fruit.

Finally a use for all that time spent in college decades ago studying to be a Botany Major. lol

There is one definitive test. Find someone with severe nut allergies. Tell them that the acorn tree is a fruit tree and have them roll around in a pile of acorns, and nibble on one. I suggest having a epipen on standby.

Depending on the article, some say it is the fruit of the tree, others the nut. I tend to think it is similar to a pecan or walnut, but they actually have an outer layer with a meat inside. Pecans also usually have a fleshy pod on the outside during it’s early stages. So do walnuts. While peanut is considered a legume they grow close to the ground. Most fruit grow on trees and most vegetables grow on plants amd bushes, there are exceptions. Berries are fruit and grow on bushes. Most veggies don’t have seeds inside, peppers and tomatoes do. Onion, celery, lettuce, cabbage, carrots, bean sprouts, etc do not.

The mint couldn’t honor the Addams family in a coin series. They would probably release Wednesday on a Sunday even though she us the daughter. Morticia would probably be OK. Gomez is hit or miss as he sounds like he belongs on a peso not a dollar. Uncle Fester would probably fall into the American innovations series for his work with the light bulb. Lurch would have to be extremely limited edition and his coin would just pop up at coin shows randomly. And Thing, well… he has no head or torso and Cousin It, you can’t see the face or torso, it’s just a cascade of hair.

To be or not to be. That is the question.

No son, the question isn’t why you have 2 B’s, it’s; why you have 3 F’s?
