I could not agree more, Seth. I remember an old-time gold bug, Don Stott, who used to contribute editorials/articles on I.M. Vronsky’s Gold-Eagle site, once write: comparing PCGS and NGC, PCGS is a Cadillac and NGC is a Chevy. Like you, I rate them: PCGS is 1st Tier, NGC is 2nd Tier, ANACS is 3rd Tier, and ICG is 4th Tier. I have never seen a coin slabbed by ICG graded less than MS/PR-70. And I wonder why Mike the Circus Barker (and sam tweedy) is always yelling ANACS!! ANACS!!! ANACS!!!!
Yep, see you on the road someday, maybe somewhere up the Ol’ Hersey Highway…

Rich –

So true. I’m in Austin now.
Houston has a show where ANACS will set up to authenticate/grade coins etc., but I don’t trust ANACS as I consider them to be third tier – PCGS is 1st Tier & NGC is 2nd Tier IMHO.

Happy collecting/investing & see you on the road!

Too bad it’s in Illinois. Texas would have been finer.
