well, compared to Sally Ride which are somewhere around $200. But I think people were jumping on this quarter thinking they could get that much for Bessie, and found out the answer is no, and therefore the Bessie quarters are sometimes available as people drop their 3 roll subscription going forward.

the availability of the 3 roll set of the next quarter varies. I saw it as high as 7, then sold out and nor a little while ago it was at 4. Lots of S quarter rolls for sale of EBAY – around 200, that has been fairly consistent. look like you can easily get them for under $90, though of course some folks are asking for a lot more.
Today the 25 roll D mint innovation dollar sold out.

An excellent acquisition, Abdifatah Abdi, as that is a very attractive coin.

Many thanks for clearing that up, Major D. I really wasn’t sure what the main sales drivers were this time; now I’ve been given the answers to complete the picture.

That’s a very clear and complete description/analysis of the Bessie Coleman “S” Quarter Rolls possible resale value scenario, Major D. I especially appreciate how your attention to detail avoids leaving loose ends.

Sounds like a plan! I imagine the complete series will be quite spectacular to see in a display like that.

I have a roll of each so far.
My concept is to put together 40 albums some day. Don’t know what I would do with them after that, but what the heck….

Tom, as Kaiser pointed out previously, if you bought the PDS rolls you were basically paying $40 for the S-roll attributing just the face values for the P&D rolls. So, that means a floor of $1 for each S-Uncirculated quarter to recoup the cost (and anything over 25 cents each for the P&Ds is a bonus). At a maximum mintage of 504,800 (product limit of 12,620 x 40) the Coleman S-uncirculated is still below all of the S-uncirculated for the ATB series which range in the 780,000 to 1,000,000+ range. The question is whether they will sell at more than $1 each down the road. I think they will, so I took that bet and bought some.
