Addendum: It appears this zero availability for AWQ 3 Roll Set Subscriptions applies to all five of the coins being released this year.

“It is interesting to note how the number of women’s quarter rolls available under subscription has declined precipitously, suggesting that many people may have canceled their subscription or that the mint has released some units that they were holding. In addition, the The fact that the figure indicated on the actual product is clearly incorrect raises some doubts about the transparency of the long-term subscription process.

Tom,
It seems I wasn’t the only one to drop my AWQ 3 Roll Set subscription upon deciding it was too pricey for my collecting budget. I also dumped the AWQ Proof and Silver Proof Sets as those are included in the Annual Proof and Silver Proof Sets. I also cancelled my three ASE subscriptions since all that changes is the date. I’m down to the basic annual sets and the Peace and Morgan Silver Dollars and I reserve the option to cancel those also. Coin collecting has become a point of financial wear; that outweighs any pleasure.

It certainly can be if you want it to, Caliskier; I won’t object. Besides, in my own inextricably messy corner of existence, I am pretty much compelled to make everything up as I go along anyway.

And suddenly quantity available =49 under subscription for the 3 roll women’s quarters. Either a bunch of people unsubscribed, or the mint has released some they were “holding in reserve”. if you look under current product it indicates 12531 available, which we know is bogus. As I recall a few days ago that figure was 12570 or something like that, which would be the max mintage less 50. And now suddenly 50 more are available under subscription. Just thinking out loud that the figure under subscription is slightly less than than the max available. But who knows

Crazy Kaise; not sure why, but I almost feel like that is a quote or should be,(?) from Winnie the Pooh?

As best as I can tell from your description of your thought processes, Caliskier, it seems that we are, the two of us, both blessed and plagued simultaneously by the same issue, to wit, that no one else ever has the occasion to judge either of us more severely and harshly than we are regularly given to judging (and occasionally severely castigating) ourselves. We attempt to reach for the heights in regard to always being at our finest and most noble, or at least as what we imagine and/or understand that to mean, and when we succeed in that good effort or make that right decision a peace we would not otherwise be gifted with or most likely whose very existence we would not even be aware of is inclined to descend upon us, even if only temporarily so. As far as controlling our thoughts, and as we know from all too much experience they can all too frequently wander into exceptionally upsetting territory, well, we simply aren’t equipped with that capability; however, the saving grace is that as long as these often extremely disconcerting intrusions remain only thoughts and don’t evolve into actions then no consequential harm will result from them.

But that would mean, Caliskier, gold, platinum and palladium are in fact rather more “precious” to the British and the Canadians than they are to the Americans, which leaves me with the sense that I’ve somehow managed to circle back around to where I started with my original question.

Well, there we have it, Caliskier. While I have been collecting coins since 1957 I didn’t engage with the US Mint until 2017, clearly a bit later to put it mildly. Truth be told, I can’t recall why I decided to add the Mint to my coin sources, but what I do know is that ever since I did so it has evolved into my primary provider.
